Everyone's neck and wrist size varies, and there are numerous length styles to consider especially when layering jewelry. Or when choosing it for a specific occasion or outfit. So it's important to measure first and determine exactly which length will work best for YOU. I promise it's worth the little time and few steps it takes!

. grab a measuring tape or ruler + a string, ribbon, or yarn

. wrap the string comfortably around your neck or wrist and decide where you want the necklace or bracelet to rest

. once you've determined your ideal position, that will be your length to measure in inches

. when choosing the perfect bracelet size it's often recommended to add a half inch to the measurement for toddlers, and add one inch to the measurement for teens and adults in order to ensure a comfortable fit

. remember jewelry lengths are measured from end to end, and the clasp is included in that length

. the following are standard bracelet sizes by age group; however, wrist sizes vary so please use this only as a guide and always measure first to find the best fit:

2 - 4 years: 5 - 5.5 inches
5 - 12 years: 5.5 - 6 inches
teen - small adult: 6 - 6.5 inches
standard adult: 6.5 - 7.5

. the following are standard necklace lengths, but again, everyone varies in size and style preference so please measure before ordering:

choker / base of neck: 15-17 inches
princess / on collarbone: 17-19 inches
matinee / between collarbone and bust: 20-24 inches
